Literature Review

A literature review of peer-reviewed, open access journal publication for the purpose of evaluating the relationship between specific foods and inflammation in the gut microbiota and Quality of Life of IBD patients.

Using recent peer-reviewed publications, I am drafting a literature review centered on this research question,

“What ingredients in IBD research provide consistent synergies to most effectively manage the main presentations of the disease?”

My publication will have a focus on the following:
• Review the pathology of IBD
• Review IBD studies with diet
• Review the detrimental processes and biomarkers of IBD
• Review IBD studies in the following categories: meats, grains, meats, fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices.
• Formulate similarities in data from studies
• Draw conclusions and recommendations for future works

I am currently working on this paper and plan to submit to scientific journals in March 2024.
